The Electrician Behind Auto Charge Pros

Auto Charge Pros was founded by Nick Wilson, a second-generation electrician and Virginia Master Electrician with more than 14 years of hands-on residential electrical experience. Today, the company specializes in professional home EV charger installation while continuing to provide residential electrical services throughout Northern Virginia.

Nick personally evaluates, plans and performs the electrical work. Your project is not sold by one person and handed to a subcontractor—you work directly with the electrician responsible for the installation.

Auto Charge Pros is family-owned and owner-operated.

OWNER STORY

A Second-Generation Electrician Built Around Residential Work

Electrical work has been part of Nick's professional life for more than a decade. Before creating Auto Charge Pros, his experience included residential remodeling, service work, electrical panels, rewiring, dedicated circuits, troubleshooting, code corrections and complex electrical work inside finished homes.

That background became especially valuable as home EV charging grew. Installing a charger properly involves much more than mounting equipment on a garage wall. The electrician needs to understand the home's existing electrical demand, panel capacity, circuit requirements, wiring route, finished surfaces, parking arrangement and local permit process.

Auto Charge Pros was created to bring that full residential-electrical background to EV charging—while giving homeowners direct access to the electrician performing the work.

WHY EV CHARGING

Why Auto Charge Pros Specializes in EV Charging

EV charging sits at the intersection of modern technology and traditional residential electrical work. The charger may be new technology, but the quality of the installation still depends on fundamentals: correct circuit design, electrical capacity, compatible equipment, proper conductor installation, clean routing and attention to the home itself.

Auto Charge Pros specializes in Level 2 residential charging because these projects reward careful planning. We install Tesla Wall Connectors, Universal Wall Connectors and compatible charging equipment for major electric vehicles while evaluating the electrical system before recommending charging output.

A panel upgrade is not automatically the answer when capacity is limited. Depending on the electrical system and charging equipment, alternatives may include reduced charging output, compatible load management or power sharing. Recommendations should be based on the home's actual electrical requirements—not on selling the largest project possible.

HOW WE WORK

What Owner-Operated Actually Means Here

For Auto Charge Pros, owner-operated is not simply a marketing phrase. Nick remains directly involved from the electrical evaluation through installation.

Direct Communication

Questions about your electrical panel, charger or wiring route go directly to the electrician responsible for the work.

No Subcontractors

Electrical installation work is not handed to an unknown third-party subcontractor after the estimate.

Accountability

The person planning the installation is accountable for how it is actually completed.

Practical Recommendations

Electrical upgrades are recommended when the system requires them—not automatically because an EV charger is being installed.

CLEAN WORK IN FINISHED HOMES

Residential Experience Matters Behind the Walls

Many Northern Virginia EV charger installations require wiring through finished basements, garage ceilings, framing transitions or other completed portions of the home. Auto Charge Pros plans the route before installation and prefers concealed wiring when the home's construction allows it.

When drywall access is necessary, expected openings are discussed before work begins whenever practical. Where included in the written estimate, removed drywall can be fastened back after the required electrical work and inspection. Full finishing—including tape, compound and sanding—is available separately when requested.

The goal is not simply to get electricity from the panel to the charger. The installation should be electrically sound and thoughtfully integrated into the home.

HOW WE APPROACH ELECTRICAL WORK

Plan First. Recommend What the Home Actually Needs.

Every project starts with understanding the existing electrical system and the work being requested. For EV charging, that can mean reviewing service capacity, existing household demand, breaker space, charger requirements, charging output and the wiring route before recommending a circuit.

The same principle applies to residential electrical work. Repairs and upgrades should solve an actual electrical need. Auto Charge Pros does not use an EV charger estimate as an excuse to automatically sell a panel replacement or unnecessary electrical work.

RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICAL BACKGROUND

More Than EV Chargers

EV charger installation is the primary specialty of Auto Charge Pros, but Nick's background covers residential electrical systems throughout the home. That experience allows Auto Charge Pros to address electrical conditions discovered during a charger project and to provide standalone residential electrical services when needed.

LOCAL BUSINESS

Based in Aldie. Serving Northern Virginia.

Auto Charge Pros is based in Aldie, Virginia and serves homeowners throughout Loudoun County, Fairfax County, Prince William County and Fauquier County, along with nearby independent jurisdictions.

Because permitting, housing layouts and electrical conditions vary considerably across Northern Virginia, the installation plan is based on the actual property rather than a one-size-fits-all package.

WARRANTY

Standing Behind the Installation

Auto Charge Pros provides a one-year workmanship and installed-materials warranty on covered installation work. Charging equipment may also carry a separate manufacturer warranty.

If there is a question about the electrical work after installation, customers are dealing with the same local company and electrician responsible for the project—not a subcontractor or national call center.

WORK DIRECTLY WITH THE ELECTRICIAN

Planning an EV Charger or Residential Electrical Project?

Tell us what you're planning and send a few photos of the electrical panel and work area. Nick can review the basic setup and determine whether the project can begin with a virtual estimate or whether an on-site visit would be more appropriate.
