Available Breaker Space Is Not the Same as Available Capacity
A 200-amp main breaker or unused panel spaces do not automatically mean the home can support another high-output continuous load. Existing household demand must also be considered.
A hardwired charger configured for 48 amps requires an appropriately designed dedicated circuit. Auto Charge Pros evaluates the electrical system and performs the appropriate capacity calculation when needed before recommending that output.
If capacity is limited:

The charger mounted on the wall is only the visible portion of the installation. The wiring route between the electrical panel and charging location has a major effect on the finished project.
When practical, Auto Charge Pros prefers concealed wiring through accessible framing, unfinished basements, ceilings or attics rather than automatically running exposed conduit across finished surfaces.
If drywall access is required, expected openings are discussed before installation whenever practical. Where included in the written estimate, removed drywall can be fastened back after the required electrical work and inspection. Full finishing—including tape, compound and sanding—is available separately when requested.

Fairfax County EV Charger Permits & PLUS Inspections
Permit and inspection requirements vary by jurisdiction and project scope. Auto Charge Pros confirms the applicable process for the actual property and work being performed. For a typical single-family dwelling, a separate EV charger plan submission is generally not required; the residential electrical permit is submitted electronically through Fairfax County's Planning and Land Use System, known as PLUS.
When permitting is included in the project scope, Auto Charge Pros can submit the applicable electrical permit and coordinate inspection.
