PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY / HAYMARKET
Auto Charge Pros provides professional Level 2 EV charger installation throughout Haymarket and western Prince William County. We evaluate the electrical panel, existing household demand, available service capacity, charger requirements, parking location and practical wiring route before recommending an installation. Owner and Virginia Master Electrician Nick Wilson performs the electrical work personally, with no subcontractors.

01 / local installation plan
The broader Haymarket area includes the incorporated Town of Haymarket, large planned communities, townhomes, single-family homes and properties with very different garage and parking arrangements.
Before installation, we review electrical capacity, charger output, panel location, circuit distance, normal parking position, charge-port location, cable reach and the practical wiring path.
For properties where the panel is farther from the vehicle—or where the charger is located outside or in a detached structure—the route can become a major part of the installation plan. We evaluate the actual property instead of assuming every Haymarket installation is a simple garage circuit.
02 / what we install
Auto Charge Pros installs hardwired and plug-in Level 2 charging equipment for most major electric vehicles. For permanent residential charging, we generally prefer hardwired equipment when supported by the charger and electrical system because the charger connects directly to the dedicated circuit without a plug-and-receptacle connection.

03 / prince william load calculation
Prince William County has specific submittal requirements for residential EV charging systems. For equipment rated over 20 amps, current county documentation may include the manufacturer's installation instructions and a Residential Load Calculation Worksheet with the EV load at 125% of nameplate rating.
That means open breaker spaces or a 200-amp main breaker alone do not establish that sufficient capacity is available. Existing household electrical demand must also be considered.
If full-output charging is not appropriate, possible solutions may include:
Review Load Management and Electrical Panel Upgrades when those options are part of the planning conversation.
04 / communities & property types
01
When the electrical panel is already in or near the garage and adequate capacity is available, the charging circuit may be relatively direct.
02
Longer distances between the electrical panel, garage and parking area can make conductor routing and charger placement more important to the project.
03
The Haymarket area includes established planned communities such as Piedmont and Dominion Valley. When exterior equipment or wiring is proposed in an association-managed community, homeowners should separately confirm applicable architectural requirements.
04
Villages of Piedmont includes both townhomes and single-family homes. Compact garage layouts, finished interiors, private streets or association requirements can affect planning for exterior portions of an installation.
05 / town vs. county
The incorporated Town of Haymarket is located within Prince William County, but Town and County responsibilities are not identical.
Prince William County Building Development issues building and trade construction permits, including applicable electrical permits, for properties within the Town of Haymarket as well as the surrounding County.
The Town of Haymarket separately handles its own zoning approvals and site-plan approvals. That distinction may matter when a project involves exterior equipment, structures, setbacks or other work beyond the electrical circuit itself.
Auto Charge Pros confirms the actual property location and applicable requirements before permit submission.

06 / installation process
01
Nick reviews service rating, breaker space, equipment condition and existing electrical demand.
02
Prepare the applicable Prince William County capacity documentation when required.
03
Determine the practical wiring path through finished areas, unfinished spaces, exterior sections or detached structures when applicable.
04
Consider normal parking position, charge-port location, cable reach, garage doors and everyday usability.
05
Nick installs the dedicated circuit and hardwired charger or approved EV receptacle, configures supported settings and tests the installation.
06
Coordinate the applicable Prince William County inspection and complete restoration according to the written estimate.
07 / Tesla charging
Auto Charge Pros is a Tesla Certified Installer providing Tesla Wall Connector and Universal Wall Connector installation throughout Haymarket and Prince William County.
We evaluate service capacity, prepare applicable load information, determine the appropriate circuit, plan the wiring route and position the charger around the vehicle's normal parking location and cable reach.
Compatible Tesla installations may also support reduced charging output, multiple Wall Connectors with power sharing and compatible power-management solutions.
08 / permits & inspections
Permit and inspection requirements vary by jurisdiction and project scope. Auto Charge Pros confirms the applicable process for the actual property and work being performed.
For residential EV charging systems over 20 amps, applicable county documentation may include manufacturer installation instructions and a Residential Load Calculation Worksheet with the EV load at 125% of nameplate rating.
When permitting is included in the project, Auto Charge Pros prepares the applicable electrical information, submits the permit paperwork and coordinates inspection.
For properties actually inside the Town of Haymarket, separate Town zoning review may apply if the overall scope involves work under Town zoning authority.
09 / wiring routes
The charger is only the visible portion of the installation. When practical, Auto Charge Pros prefers concealed wiring rather than automatically running exposed conduit across finished walls and ceilings.
If drywall access is required, expected openings are discussed before installation whenever practical. Where included in the written estimate, removed drywall may be securely fastened back after the required electrical work and inspection. Full finishing—including tape, compound and sanding—is available separately when requested unless specifically included in the written scope.
For outdoor parking areas, detached garages or longer property routes, we evaluate the appropriate wiring method, weather exposure, physical protection and routing requirements for the individual property.
10 / questions homeowners ask
Cost depends on electrical capacity, circuit distance, wiring route, charger location, finished areas, outdoor or detached routing when applicable, permitting, load management and drywall restoration. Auto Charge Pros reviews the setup before providing a written estimate.
For applicable residential EV charging systems over 20 amps, current Prince William County documentation may include a Residential Load Calculation Worksheet with the EV load at 125% of nameplate rating.
Possibly. Service rating alone does not determine available capacity. Existing household demand must also be evaluated. A charger configured for 48 amps typically requires an appropriately designed 60-amp dedicated circuit when the equipment, vehicle capability, wiring method and available electrical capacity support that output.
Not necessarily. Reduced charging output or compatible load management may be alternatives when capacity is limited.
Prince William County Building Development issues building and trade construction permits for the Town of Haymarket. The Town separately handles its own zoning and site-plan approvals when applicable.
Yes. Auto Charge Pros serves these Haymarket-area communities. Homeowners should separately confirm applicable association requirements if exterior modifications are proposed.
Potentially. We evaluate the existing electrical supply, distance, wiring method, equipment location and physical route before recommending the installation.
